Matched Pair Design
It is the same as Independent Measure but participants are matched on characteristics such as age, gender, etc.

Strengths; Grouped on characteristics and Participants only do one condition. Weaknesses; It is not possible to match every characteristic, Matching is time consuming and More participants are needed.

One group of participant is used for one condition in a study.

Strengths; Each groups does one condition and Order effect doesn't occur as participants only do one condition. Weaknesses; Participants characteristics may affect end results and More participants are needed.

Repeated Measure
One group of participants takes part in both conditions of a study.

What are strengths and weaknesses of Repeated Measure?
Strengths; Less participants are needed and Participants do all the conditions. Weaknesses; Fatigue / boredom affects results as participants are repeating the same conditions and Participants characteristics affect the results.
