Evaluation// The wealthy and powerful are the ones who create and benefit from globalisation and the unstable and rapidly changing world (7) 4. Globalisation is actually Westernisation/Americanisation - Cultures are becoming like that of the USA - US products and services are spreading around the world (8) 5. Although western culture was the first to go global, other non-western cultures are now just as important - Globalisation is a positive thing which has benefitted western societies, the benefits are now being seen in places like Asia (6) Down 2. Nationalist groups in both developed and developing countries have emerged as a result of globalisation - There has been a revival of local cultural identities in resistance - Globalisation is no characterised purely by the west (latinisation etc) (7) 3.
