The role of marketing and the marketing department in a company: anticipating and identifying consumer wants and needs and then planning the means to meet these requirements

What do customers look for in a product?
Benefits - What the product will actually do for them. For example, a particular model of phone. As well as making and receiving calls/texts it has a high quality camera and internet access.

What persuades a customer to purchase a product?
They may be interested in the products physical features such as what it looks like but the products benefits is the main reason a customer makes a purchase.

How is a business most likely to make a profit?
By providing the benefits and products that customers want.
