Custodial sentence
Immediate is when the offence is so serious that neither a fine or community sentence can be justified, suspended is when when the sentence is not activated until D commits further offences

Community sentences
Unpaid work, supervision by probation officer, prohibited activity, curfew, alcohol and drug treatment

Financial sentences
Fines, must take into account D's ability to pay, $5000 max for mags, unlimited for crown, Compensation orders can be made to the victim for injuries or property damage

Discharge
Absolute - imposes no penalty, conditional - if the offender commits a further offences the original offence is resentenced
