Segregated conjugal roles usually are present in the traditional nuclear family. The instrumental roles such as going out to work are reserved for the husband and the expressive roles are reserved for the women. Such as child rearing, cooking etc

Joint conjugal roles?
usually have couples share tasks in the household. The husband may come back from work and decide to do some housework and spend time with the children. Their leisure time is spent together with their family rather than separated.
