Fault in rock is eroded by Hydraulic action & Abrasion and becomes a cave then two back-to-back caves break through to Form arch

Arch roof attacked by weathering and collapses becomes a stack which is eroded into a stump

Wave Cut Notch
erosion occurs where waves break against a cliff at the high tide line and forms a Wave Cut Notch

Wave cut Platform
Wave cut notch undercuts the cliff and the overlying cliff collapses into the sea - over time cliff retreats to form a gent sloping rocky platform
