anti-rational thinkers, against the enlightenment period. believe in romantic figures to lead people to greatness e.g. Napoleon or Mussolini and recreation of the RE. people are doers , use of mythology / Jewish propaganda by Gobineau and Chamberlin

Life was a constant struggle and competition between people and naturally the best would rise to the top - Manichean outlook, Jews are the evil which must be removed

Actively encourages warfare as part of the ‘struggle’ of fascist man, Lebensraum encourages the spread of the German people

Leadership / Elitism: Cycle of Elites
Support the idea of a totalitarian state and monism (everyone follows the same ideals). Only the great will rise to the top. Social Darwinism - evil must be exterminated, cult of personality

Ultranationalism
Extreme patriotic pride, great belief in the Germanic heritage of the people (resulting in racialism). Volkism - 'nationhood' and the collective identity of the people

Socialism (extreme collectivism)
Monism - everyone follows the same ideals and works for the good of the state e.g. public work schemes, OND. SA employed struggling citizens
