1-FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) causes follicle to develope 2-LH stimulates ovulation and corpus luteum to develope 3-oestrogen stimulates uterus lining to thicken 4- progesterone maintains lining 1&2 from pituitary glands 3&4 from ovaries

What happens at stage 1 in the cylce?
high FSH stimulates follicle development and ovaries release oestrogen, lining thickens and FSH inhbited so no more follicles can develope

What happens at stage 2 in the cycle?
oestrogen increase stimulates release of LH ans FSH, LH cause ovaries to release more oetrogen so more LH which stimulates ovulation. LH ruptured follicle to corpus luteum

What happens at stage 3 in the cycle?
corpus luteum release progesterone which inhibits FSH and LH, maintain lining. No implant CL breaks down so no progesterone, lining breaks down and FSH and LH can be produced so cycle starts again
