What are the Roman Catholic Views on Contraception?
A baby is a gift from God. Roman Catholic Christians are told that each act of sex must allow for the possibility of a baby (“be fruitful and multiply”). So no man-made contraception is allowed – just the rhythm method.

Some feel the Catholic Church is irresponsible to stuck to this rule as it increases overpopulation and the spread of AID’s and STI’s.

What are the Protestant Christian Views on Contraception?
Sex is for having children. Contraception is allowed as part of planning responsibly as when to have children. They call this family planning.

What are the Islamic Views on Contraception?
Raising children is an important part of marriage. For contraception, forms like the pill and condom are preferred to those which are irreversible such as vasectomy. Contraception should not be used to encourage promiscuity.

Give a few arguements as to why marriage ceremonies should only take place in places of worship.
Believers will value it being in God’s house. It should be made before God, involving him and seeking his help from the start. Solemn vows made before God are more likely to be taken seriously. Tradition is important.

Give some arguements as to why wedding ceremonies shouldn't always be in a place of worship.
Not everyone is religious; marry in a place that is special to you. No-one wants people pretending in the vows. God is everywhere (omnipresent), not just in a church or a mosque. Some can’t marry in a church eg. Divorcees, gays (Catholic/Anglican).
