Aim
to see the perception of drug treatment as represented by the media

How did you gather your data?
typed into google 'methadone treatment drug use' and 'token economy drug use' and selected first sources that i recognised which was the BBC and the guardian. read through the articles and found they were fitting for my aim.

How did you conduct your content analysis?
read through both articles and decided on frequently used words e.g. relapse and cost. i then decided whether these words were positive or negative. then i tallied up each word for each article.

then i decided whether each article was positive overall or negative overall. then i explained the psychological principles of each article and compared them.

"How should drug use be treated in society?"

debated issue that is important because drug use is still very high and lots of people are not getting the treatment that they need. there are differing opinions around what treatments should be used.

describe and evaluation of token economy programmes and methadone programmes and a comparison of the two
