Where are Deserts typically found?
Hot deserts are usually found along the Tropic of Cancer & Capricorn or between latitudes of 15 -30 degrees North and South of the Equator

How does Rain Shadow work?
Warm air is carried in the win up a mountain, because of the steepness of the mountain the clouds release the moisture/rainfall so by the time the air/clouds have reached the other side of the mountain there is nothing but dry air creating deserts.

What are Cold Ocean Currents?
Found off the west cost of continents these reduce the amount of air rising and so there are fewer clouds and less rain.

Explain Freeze-Thaw weathering:
Water enters cracks in rock, temperatures drop the water freezes. The ice then expands and the puts pressure on the cracks. This is happens in a cycle.
