Veneral Disease (VD) in soldiers.

What kind of treatment were women having to undergo examination subjected to?
Harsh treatment where they were often examined in shop windows and jeered at in public, doctors showed no care in examining them, medical instruments were often not even washed between examinations. Reputations were ruined for ever.

Why did Parliament introduce the CDA's?
Three reasons; To promote military efficiency as soldiers could not go to fight if they had a disease, seen as a moral duty to the prostitutes, the medical proffesionals wished to stamp out this STI.
