LAN (Local Area Network)
Network that connects a computer and other devices in a local area e.g. Household

Covers a large area and connects computers and devices together e.g, the internet.

A card that is installed into the motherboard of a computer so that it can be connected to a network.

This allows connection to a LAN without physical cables e.g. WiFi.

Recieves data in form of packets and forwards to another router.

Hub
Hardware device that connects many network devices together. They have a number of input and output ports which are connected.

Connect network devices. Only transfers data to device intended and not all.
