Comprehension Test 4

The Unexpected Trouble

This is a piece of writing when Ben Harrison got in trouble and everyone teased him. Let's read the story.

" BEN ! " yelled Mrs. Louis. " OUT TO THE THINKING TABLE! ".

Tears rolled into Ben's black eyes. His eyes were a dark, night sky. Slowly, Ben wrote his name at the board, as he was on the sad face. Everyone, especially his enemy, Jason, laughed at him, as Ben was like a comedian, sending funny jokes to others.

" Ha! Ha! Ha! " laughed the girls ; they couldn't hold it for longer.

" IT'S NOT FUNNY! " Ben yelled loudly, still with his tears.

He sat at the thinking table, feeling very upset : why was everyone laughing and sniggering about them. Ben surely can't do anything. He wrote at the thinking table sheet and showed to the furious teacher.

Later, Ben went back to his seat, still feeling sad. He saw Karen laughing continuously at him.

" KAREN ! " yelled Mrs Louis. " THINKING TABLE! RIGHT NOW! ".

" What have I done? " murmured Karen.

Ben rubbed his watery eyes, with his sweating hand, like a dry desert. Suddenly, he saw nothing. Nothing but blank. Only black and white. That was his strange feeling. Why was he like that? This was the worst and strange day ever he had.
