What does the Program counter (PC) do?
Points to next instruction in memory and copies its value to the MAR

What does the Memory address register (MAR) do?
Receives memory address from PC and sends it along address bus to memory

What does the Memory data register (MDR) do?
instruction and data send along the data bus and stored in the MDR

What does the accumulator do?
when the instruction is executed the results are stored here. Holds a running total of the operation currently happening

Random access memory
