The place where a sistuation occurs. EG: Home or School

Expectation
This is when people have an ideology about how something should happen. EG: Expectation of the first day at school

Norm
Something that is normal in society. EG: To have different cultures in one area

Process Model
The model explains how information is being conveyed and recieved

Medio Communication
This is the use social media to communication with poeple.

Self-fulfilling Prophecy
Prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true

Looking glass theory
Receiving jugdements and evaluations of our behaviour from others and then modify them.

Gatekeeping
This is when we filter our information that could create a negative feedback

Behavourist school
They believe that langauge is learnt by the influence of society. EG: school, family or church

Naom Chomsky
This person believed that langauge is biological therefore saying that everyone has the ability to learn langauges as it is made in their DNA.

Agrees with the 'Behaviourist school' and believe that language is developed by different agents of socialisation.

This is our interpretation of the word.

Refers to the vocabulary of a language. (Just words)

Refer to the order of the words therefire allowing it to make sense.

Irony is seen as something funny wheras Sarcasm can bring someone down
