what are the internal mental processes in this section?
perception, memory, attention and consciousness (language and problem solving)

what is a schema?
a schema is a mental framework to organise past experience so when we encounter a similar situation we know what to do by 'filling in the gaps'.

what are theoretical models?
Using diagrams, flow charts, etc to simplify complex information ie the multi store model theory

what is a computer models?
a computer model is describing mental processes with computers. one way is by using analogies of the computer to associate it with a theory, object, etc. ie the LTM is the hard disk.

what is cognitive neuroscience and what techniques were invented from cognitive neuroscience?
cognitive neuroscience covers the bridge between the cognitive and biological approach. it uses;
MRIs, brain scans, fMRIs, etc to help see which parts of the brain is active during an internal mental process.

+techniques and advancements which helped psychology
+recognises complex human behaviour
+real world app. reducing eye witness testimonies due to memory, forming therapy eg CBT
-doesn't include human behaviour such as emotions/motivation
