People with coeliac disease are unable to eat products which contain wheat , rye or barley
This is because the lining of the small intestine is damaged by gluten. The villi flatten and lining becomes inflamed. damage prevents absorption of nutrients , which lead to weight loss. children with coealic may not grow porperly.
