Muscular movement continuum
Gross- Large muscle movements. Fine-Intricate movements using small muscle groups

Environmental influence continuum
Open- Are affected by the environment. Closed-Not affected by the environment

Continuity continuum
Discrete-Clear beggining and ending. Serial-A number of discrete elements, put together in a definite order to make a movement or sequence. Continuous-No definite beginning and end.

Pacing continuum
Self Paced-Performer determines when the movement skill starts and the rate at which it proceeds. Externally Paced-Control of movement determined by environment

Difficulty continuum
Simple-Skills have a low quantity of sub-routines. Complex-Skills have a high quantity of sub-rountines.

Organisational continuum
Low-Sub-routines are easily seperated and practised by themselves. High-Sub-routines are very closely linked togther and very difficult to seperate without disrupting the skill.
