Health is the quality of a person's physical, psychological and sociological functioning.

Disease is the abnormal state in which part or all of the body is not prperly adjusted, or is not capable of carrying on all its required functions. There is non infectious and infectious diseaes. Microorganisms can be helpful to human beings, but are the agents of many infectiuos diseases. WHO work to minimise the transmission of diseases such as HIV, HPV, viral hepatitis, pneumonia, bird flu, swine flu, influenza.

Pasteur's experiment with the curved necked vessels reputed the theory of spontaneous generation. Koch postulates showed how disease could be tranmitted from an infected source to an uninfected recepiant.
