Three days after Emmett's brutal murdering his body was founded at the bottom of the Tallahatchie river. They knew the body was his after finding a ring with initials "LT" on his finger; LT stood for Louis Till which was his father's name.

Bryant and Milam beat him until he was near death, they then gouged out his eye, shotgunned him in the head, and threw him into the tallahatchie river while attatched to the 75pound cotton-gin fan.

After Emmett had been captured from his great uncle's (Mose Wright) home we was forced into a car, from there he was brought to the Tallahatchie river where he was forced to carry a 75pound cotton-gin fan to the bank of the river.

On the 24th August 1955, Emmett Till left his hometown - Chicago, to go and visit his great unclue, Mose Wright, in Money, Mississippi. He was warned of the racism and segregation in this region from mother Mamie Till.
