Define current
Current is a flow of electrons through a circuit.
1 of 7
State an equation linking Current, Charge and Time, including units
Charge flow (Coulomb)= Current(Amperes) X Time (seconds)
2 of 7
What is meant by potential difference and resistance of a circuit?
Potential difference (voltage) is the electronic force and resistance is the opposition to the flow.
3 of 7
What is the equation linking potential difference, current and resistance, including units?
Potential difference (Voltage) = Current (Amperes) X Resistance (Ohms)
4 of 7
How would you investigate the link between length of wire and resistance?
Create a series circuit with an Ammeter recording current and a voltmeter measuring voltage. Put the wire against a ruler and put connected crocodile clips at different lengths of the wire to record different resistances.
5 of 7
How can the resistance of LDRs and Thermistors be altered?
The resistance of thermistors decrease as the temperature increases. The resistance of LDR's decrease as light density increases.
6 of 7
Draw the VI graphs for a filament bulb, fixed resistor and diode.
