Cnidum aut Colophonem aut Samum, nobilissimas urbes, innumerabilesque alias captas esse commemmorem, cum vostros porus atque eos portus, quibus vitam et spiritum ducitis, in praedonum fuisse potestate sciatis?
need i mention that Cnidus or Colphon or Samos, most noble cities, and countless others were captured, when you know that your own harbours and those harbours, from which you derive life and breath, were in the power of the pirates?
