That God is loving and caring. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son" (John 3:16). Christians try to follow this.

That God judges people's actions fairly. Those who reject him, live sinful lives will be punished (Sheep and goats parable Matthew 25: 31-46). But God forgives people who are sorry for what they've done and become faithful (prodigal son Luke 15:11-32

God is beyond the world - he doesn't depend on it to exist.

God is a person - an almighty and divine person. A relationship is possible through prayer - which can be a conversation with God.

What is the Trinity?
Christians believe that God is the Trinity which is the idea that God exists in 3 'persons' - the father, the son and the Holy spirit.

What is the Nicene Creed?
In 325 AD not everyone agreed Jesus was one with God. Church leaders from around the world in 325 and 381 AD produced the Nicene creed describing the trinity. Trinity is now a key belief of Christians although some groups don't believe in it.

For many Christians God the father is of the old testament. He created Heaven and earth. The father is the transcendent part. He is called father by Jesus as a mark of respect "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly father is perfect" (Matthew 5:48)

How did free will lead to Evil entering the World?
Evil entered world as a result of Adam and eve giving into temptation and disobeying God by eating fruit from tree of knowledge. Switch from perfect world to one containing evil is known as 'The fall'.

After the fall every human was born with a flawed nature capable to cause suffering. This was the idea of the Original sin.

What was the incarnation?
The act by which God became a human beiong as Jesus Christ. Christians believe he was fully man and fully God. Jesus' time on earth was a way of God showing how much he loved the world.

Last meal of jesus with his disciples. Jesus gave bread (his body) and wine (blood). Jesus also washed their feet showing how important it's to serve others.

After last Supper Jesus went to prey and was arrested as authorities felt threatened by him. He was put on trial before a Jewish high priest and found guilty of Blasphemy. Jesus was flogged before being sent to die.

Jesus was crucified next to two robbers. A sign fixed to his cross saying "King of the Jews". People threw insults. Christians believe crucifixion repaired relationship between God and humans.

Jesus' resurrection?
Jesus' body was brought to a tomb but he was resurrected and his tomb was found empty. Resurrection shows Christians that there is life after death, God is powerful and it is proof that Jesus was the Son of God.

40 days after resurrection Jesus ascended into Heaven to be with God the father again. This shows Jesus' power.

It won forgiveness for everyone and ensured their redemption. although not all Christians believe he had to die to pay for sins as the loving God would have forgiven them anyway.

What is salvation?
Means the soul being saved from death and sin allowing them to reach Heaven. They must have faith in Jesus and it's only possible through Gods grace. Holy spirit helps Christians keep faith.

What happens on a Sunday for Christians?
Sunday is the day of Worship. Christians go to Church. Worship includes prayers, readings from Bible, a sermon and the Eucharist. Some Christians also private worship.

What is Liturgical worship?
Structured worship. Catholic Services are from the contents of the'Roman Misssal'. Anglican are guided by 'Common worship' book. The main Orthodox service is the 'Divine Liturgy'

How are Anglican and Catholic Eucharist Services similar?
A confession of sin and request for God's mercy is said by everyone. There are readings and a sermon. Nicene or Apostle's creed is recited. Congregation says Lords prayer and shakes hands. They then receive bread and wine.

Similar elements to Anglican and Catholic. They include the Litany. Worshippers sing or chant for most of the service. Services longer than Anglican and Catholic.

A ceremony in which Christians believe they receive God's grace. Catholics and orthodox Churches believe in 7 sacraments but most protestants accept only baptism and Eucharist.

Why is Baptism important?
Jesus was Baptised. Baptism makes someone a member of God's family and welcomes them to the church. some believe Baptism cleanses people of original sin.

A sign of the cross is made on the baby and in many Churches holy water is poured over 3 times (trinity). Orthodox baptise babies by fully immersing. Denominations that baptise usually have confirmation for when they confirm faith there selves

What are the different understandings of Eucharist?
Catholics believe at Mass the bread and wine become blood and body and it's a reenactment of Jesus' sacrifice. Methodists and most Anglicans believe it a reenactment but don't believe it becomes blood and body. Baptists view it all as symbols.

The vigil of prayer held day before, Readings, prayers to help family say goodbye. In funeral they pray to god to take care of person, Coffin covered in white cloth and sprinkled in Holy water by priest and perfumed. Committal is in cemetery after.

Christians mainly celebrate christmas on 25th for Jesus' birth. Christmas is after advent-the period leading to birth. Alot of churches have midnight mass on eve and a service on Christmas morning. Some Christians dislike modern traditions i.e Santa.
