By blocking the entry of the People's Republic of China in to UN and trying unsuccessfully to persuade American allies not to recognise Mao's government

They became more hostile towards communists movements in Asia

Why did Mao's and Stalin's relationship always have distance?
Because Stalin failed to recognise Mao's revolution as Marxist which Mao resented and Stalin never gave Mao the approval or support he wanted
