How ca you prevent sids?
You can stop cot death by makiing sure you place the babies feet at the bottom of a cot tucking the blanket firmly under his or her arms, use a firm mattress and avoid putting teddies inside the cot, keep the room at a suitable temperature.

What are gross motor skills?
Gross motor skills are the movement and use of the bigger muscles in the body. For example; arms, legs and neck.

What are fine motor skills?
Fine motor skills are smaller muscles in the babies body such as; fingers and toes.

How can we encourage children to use their gross motor skills?
We can do this by playing games with them such as catch and football, this works the larger muscles and helps build it.

How can we encourage children to use their fine motor skills?
We can do this by giving a child a pencil and letting them hold it inbetween their fingers and play with it. Play Doh is also great for doing this.
