Chemistry - Transition Elements

?
Compare transition elements with group one elements.
Transition elements have extremely higher boiling and melting points than group one elements. They also have a higher density and are alot harder. They have incredibly high tensile strenght while group 1 elements have weak tensile strength
1 of 5
Give a comparison in terms of reactivity.
They are less reactive than group 1 elements.
2 of 5
What are transition metals (and often their compounds?)
Catalyst
3 of 5
What is a catalyst?
An element or compound which changes the rate of reaction without being part of the reaction (as a reactant)
4 of 5
Explain how/why catalyst can be reused.
They aren't involved in the reaction.
