Advantages of using hydrogen fuel cells over rechargeable batteries.
Less polluting than to dispose off as batteries are made from highly toxic chemicals/ cheaper to produce/ eventually need replacing.
1 of 5
Disadvantages of hydrogen fuel cells over rechargeable batteries.
Hydrogen gas is very explosive so will not be very safe/ Hydrogen is not widely available whereas a battery can be recharged at home/ you need a specially adapted car to burn hydrogen.
2 of 5
Properties of transition metals.
Make coloured compounds, form different ions, melt at higher temperatures, have catalytic properties.
3 of 5
What is the type of reaction that produces salts.
Neutralisation
4 of 5
Name the products that are at the Cathode (-) and the Anode (+) for the electrolysis of molten lead bromide.
Cathode: lead will form, as positive ions are attracted to the (-) electrode. Anode: Bromine gas will be produced as - bromine ions are attracted to the + electrode.
