This means that all have just one electron in their outer shell, which can be lost to give a positive ion when they react with another element.
1 of 5
Why is group 1 so reactive?
Because they can be lost to give a positive ion easily therefore they react easily especially with oxygen.
2 of 5
What does group 0 contain?
They contain unreactive gasses such as helium, neon and argon.
3 of 5
Why are these gasses unreactive?
They are unreactive as they only have low amounts of electrons in their outer shell(2) This arrangement makes the gases unreactive.
4 of 5
What are group 0 gasses called?
