Definition of Precipitate
A precipitate is the product of a reaction that is insoluble in the solvent of the reactants.

Test- Add sodium hydroxide in drops. Result- White precipitate forms, which remains even when excess sodium hydroxide is added

Test- Add sodium hydroxide in drops. Result- Light blue precipitate formed.

Iron (II)- Fe2+ (aq)
Test- Add sodium hydroxide in drops. Result- Green precipitate forms. On standing changes to reddish brown colour.

Test- Add sodium hydroxide in drops. Result- Reddish Brown precipitate formed
