Chemical reactions

HideShow resource information
what is the process of a solid changing the a gas?
sublimation
1 of 8
what are the characteristics of a physical change
No new substance formed, reversible, no change in mass, small amount of heat required
2 of 8
what are the characteristics of a chemical change
Large amount of heat taken in/given out, change in mass, irreversible, new substance is formed
3 of 8
explain the water cycle
heat from the sun causes water to evaporate, the water vapour collects in clouds. The clouds rise where the air is cooler. Due to the drop in temperature the water vapaur condenses. The water falls back to earth.
