All ministers, bishops etc. had to declare an oath, they would only preach from the new prayer book introduced by Charles II and parliament

What was the Conventicle Act 1664?
Religious meetings of five persons or more were forbidden

What was the Five Mile Act 1665?
Any preacher or teacher who did not swear the allegiance to the act of uniformity could not travel within five miles of that area
