What is the DSM-IV classification for specific phobia?
Marked and persistant fear that is excessive or unreasonable, Exposure to phobic stimulus provokes immediate anxiety response,The person recognises the fear as excessive, Phobic situation is avoided, phobia disrupts normal life

The psychological symptom must be primary manifestations of anxiety, The anxiety must be restricted to the presence of the particular phobic object or situation, The phobic situation is avoided whenever possible
