What is a life cycle?
A sequence of stages in the growth and development of organisms from one generation to the next.

What is the alternation of generations?
refers to alternating haploid and diploid states.

What is a hermaphrodite?
An animal that can produce sperm and eggs.

What is indirect development?
occurs in animals that produce large numbers of eggs. (aquatic animals and amphibians).

it's when embryos develop for several weeks inside the eggs, and hatch in an essentially adult form.
