Nucleus
A large organelles with a double memrbane and pores that contains chromatin which is made from DNA and controls the cells activities
1 of 9
Lysosome
A round organelle with a membrane , which contains digestive enzymes and are used to digest invading cells or break down worn out components
2 of 9
Ribosome
A tiny organelle either in the cytoplasm or on the rough ER, it is where protiens are made
3 of 9
Smooth ER
A smooth system of mebrane enclosing a fluid filled space, this synthesises and processes lipids.
4 of 9
Rough ER
A system of membranes covered in ribosomes enclosing a fluid filled space it folds and process protiens
5 of 9
Golgi Body
A group of fluid filled flat sacs that process and package new lipids and pritiens and also makes lysosomes
6 of 9
Microvilli
These are folds in a plasma membrane that increase the surface area for processes like absorption
7 of 9
Plasma Membrane
Found on the surface (or inside the cell wall in plant cells and prokayrotic cells) it conrtols the movement in and out of the cell and responds to levels needed like hormones
8 of 9
Mitochondria
They have a double membrane with folded structures called cristae and inside is a matrix, it is the site of aerobic resperation
