Prokaryotes - these are mainly bacteria. Eukaryotes - higher plant and animal cells.

3. What does the Plasma Membrane Do?
It is a selective semi permeable barrier, controlling what can and cannot go into the cell.

4. What does the cytoplasm do?
This makes up the interior of the cell. It holds the other organelles.

5. What does the nucleus do?
Controls gene expression. Mediates replicatopn of dna during the cell cycle.

6. What is endoplastic reticulum?
Transports chemicals between and within cells.

7. What is Golgi apparatus?
Protein and lipid modification and sorting

8. What is Mitochondria?
Provides energy to the cells. Makes ATP through celluar respiration.
