Plant and Animal Cells are what type of Cell?
They are Eukaryotic cells- they have Dna stored inside the nucleus.
1 of 12
Bacterial cells are what type of cell?
Bacterial cells are prokaryotic- they have free Dna and no membrane bound organelles.
2 of 12
What are the main differences between these types of cell?
Eukaryotic cells have membrane bound organelles and nucleus stored DNA. Prokaryotic cells contain loose DNA and non membrane bound organelles.
3 of 12
Function of Cell Membrane
To protect the cell from it's surroundings and regulate what enters or not.
4 of 12
Function of Cytoplasm
Keeps the structure of the cell and allows reactions to take place.
5 of 12
Function of Nucleus
It stores the DNA and coordinates the cells activities.
6 of 12
Function of Chloroplasts
Chloroplasts are only present in plant cells. They synthesizer sunlight into energy.
7 of 12
Function of Cell Wall
A Cell wall is only present in plant cells. It gives the cell strength and structure.
8 of 12
Function of Ribosomes
Ribosomes are cell structures that make protein for the cell.
9 of 12
Function of Mitochondria
The mitochondria are necessary for plant based respiration.
10 of 12
Function of Vacuole
A vacuole is a membrane bound sac that provides structure and waste disposal.
11 of 12
Which parts are only found in plant cells and not animal cells?
Chloroplasts, Vacuoles and Cell walls.
