A longitudinal study that focuses on a specific person or group of people in depth over a long period of time e.g years

+ It's entirely applicable and relevant
+ flexible to which methods it can use

Why would you not use a case study?
- Time consuming (years)
- no control over Evs, so no C+E
- no replicability
- cant generalise
- can be expensive
