Identify & explain Article 42 of the Treaty of Versailles
Article 42 ensured that there would be a demilitarised zone (No military forces allowed to occupy the area) in the state of the Rhineland. This acted as a buffer zone between Germany and France should another war break out.

Article 231 or 'The War Guilt' term explains that Germany had to accept all responsibility for the outbreak of World War I. This was very humiliating to Germany.
