Define: Handheld
You can see that the camera operator is holding the camera - there is a lot of shaking and blurring even when its held still

Define: Steadicam
A camera held by the operator but not shaky

Define: 360 180/shot
Shot which circle around the character. Can face in or out.

Define: Arc Shot
Follows the character's view as if they were turning their heads. If this happens very quickly the picture blurs which can be called a whip pan

A shot where the camera runs on a track and follows the person/object/actio

Similar to a tracking shot except the camera is placed on mechanical device that move it

Sweeping camera movement from side to side or up and down. Camera stays in tripod.

Camera can be tilted up or down - rather like panning but up and down rather than sideways.

Define: Rule of thirds
Where there is a close up, the character/ object is often not placed in the centre of the shot but is towards the left or right 'third'
