Describe how metals conduct electricity.
Metals contain electrons that are free to move in the metal structure, carrying charge from place to place and allowing metals to conduct electricity well.

What is metallic bonding?
The strong attraction between a sea of delocalised electrons and close packed positive metal ions.

Explain why - in terms of structure - metals can conduct electricity.
The delocalised electrons are able to move through the metal structure. When a potential difference is applied, they will move together, allowing an electric current to flow through the metal.

Explain why - in terms of structure - metals have high melting and boiling points.
The attraction between metal ions&delocalised electrons must be overcome to melt/boil a metal.Some of the attractions must be overcome to melt&all must be overcome to boil.These attractive forces are strong,so metals have high melting&boiling points

A metal with little or no electrical resistance at very low temperatures.
