How do you test for carbon dioxide?
run it thru limewater & if carbon dioxide is present it will go cloudy

How do you test for Hydrogen?
Do the 'squeaky pop' test using a lighted splint.The noise is the hydrogen burning with the oxygen in the air to form water

How do you test for Oxygen?
using a glowing splint-if it relights in the presence of that gas-it's Oxygen!

using damp,blue litmus paper- if it bleaches (turns white) it's chlorine
