Using the atomic of the element and the maximum number of electrons in each shell

What is the development of the atomic theory?
Early theory by John Dalton but was later confirmed by better evidence. Thompson, Rutherford and Bohr found new evidence which changed the model of the atom. Geiger and Marsden had some unexpected results which made significant contributions to it.
