An exothermic reaction is a chemical reaction that releases energy by light or heat. If more energy is released than needed.

How is the energy transferred by a fuel calculated by?
mass(in g) x specific heat capacity(in j/g degrees Celsius) x temperature change( in degrees Celsius)

How can reliability of an experiment be improved?
Repeating it. The more times the experiment is repeated, the more reliable it is.

What formula is needed to calculate the energy in a gram of fuel?
energy per gram =energy released (in J) / mass of fuel burnt (in g)
