What can strong, rigid polymers be used for?

How are GORE-TEX fabrics made?
By laminating a thin film of plastic called EXPANDED PTFE onto a layer of another fabric, such as nylon.

What makes the PTFE film breathable?
It has tiny holes which let water vapour through.

NON BIODEGRADABLE
Polymers aren't broken down by micro-organisms, so they don't rot.

It's difficult to dispose of NON BIODEGRADABLE plastics, so what's the best way to get rid of them?
Reuse, recycle.
