44 Juvenile thieves-88 emotionally maladjusted children. 44 caught stealing, 44 control group. He named them emotionless psychopaths

86% of affectionless thieves had frequent seperations before the age of 2, compared with 17% of other thieves and just 2% of the control group

Emotional separation is more harmful than physical seperation
