What is bowel cancer?
Cancer within the bowel which usually starts within the colon or rectum.

What are the signs of bowel cancer?
Blood in stool, change in bowel habits lasting more than 6 weeks, losing weight without trying, low red blood count, anemia, extreme fatigue, abdominal pain, lump detected by doctor

What are the risk factors?
Smoking, family history, not enough fibre in diet, being over 60, having Crohn's disease, previous cancers, being diabetic, being overweight/obese, consuming more than 2 units of alcohol a day

How do you treat bowel cancer?
Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, biological treatments, exercise, vitamin D
