1 of 9
VEINS
carry de-oxgyenated blood towards the heart (doesn't include pulmonary vein). Thin layer of muscle due to low pressure from blood. contains valves to prevent blood flowing backwards
2 of 9
CAPILLARIES
Join up arteries and veins, go to every cell. provides nutrients, water, oxygen, and removes waste. exchange 02 and C02 at the lungs.
One cell thick for diffusion.
3 of 9
PLASMA
a liquid that carries water, nutrients, hormones and aids the flow of blood

PLATELETS
Form clots to prevent bleeding and bacteria entering the blood stream
5 of 9
