1. cephalic stage, 2. gastric phase 3. intestinal phase

What is the Cephalic phase?
Stimulation of gastric juices, preparing the stomach for the arrival of food

What is the Gastric Phase?
Enhances secretions started in the cephalic stage

What is the Intestinal phase?
controls the rate of which " Chymes" enters the Duodenum. It inhibits gastric acid secretion; reduction in gastric mobility (Several hours)

What are the two functions of bile?
Emglusify fats and to neutralise acids
