BIOLOGY DIFFUSION

?
what is the definition of diffusion?
The movement of particles in a gas or particles in a solution from a region of high concentration to an area of low concentration.
1 of 7
what happens if the concentration is equal?
There is no net movement.
2 of 7
How do you measure the rate of diffusion?
The greater the difference in concentration the faster the rate of diffusion.
3 of 7
Why does oxygen not diffuse in and out of the cell continuously?
-Because the oxygen concentration doesn't build up in the cell as it is used up chemical reactions and the oxygen is constantly being supplied.
4 of 7
If the cell doesn't want the ................... to leave then the .......................... will.............them.
particles,cell membrane,stop
5 of 7
When particles diffuse in,is energy used?
No energy is used.
6 of 7
When particles diffuse out,is energy used?
